How to create and send group emails with Gmail

Are you looking to send all your friends, in your Gmail contacts, an e-mail? Or, would you like to create specific contact groups? Maybe a group for friends and family, and another for your book club.

Easily done with Gmail!

First of all, this tutorial is presuming you have a Gmail (Google) account with contacts already added.

If not, sign-up for a free account here.

1: Sign-in to your Gmail account. On the left side of the browser, look for “Contacts“.

2: Choose “All Contacts” and then select who you want to add. You may select “all”, and all the contacts will be given a check mark.

Remember, if you do not already have a contact added to your list, you may do so here.

Select the Gmail add contact to add a new contact.

3: Once you have chosen all the contacts you would like for a group e-mail list,click “GroupsGmail Groups icon.

You will have the option to Add to “New Group”. Choose this selection to create a new group.

Otherwise, you may have those whom you have check-marked, be moved into that group from the list.

4: Name your Group name.

5: Your Group will appear in your panel. Select it to start a group e-mail.

Click “All“, to select all the contacts in this group, to send an e-mail.

6: Once you have selected those to e-mail in your group, click “Email“.

7: Those selected will be added to your e-mail list.

From here you can write your e-mail. Done!
